How this works. You pay your tech for drive time and job time, so labor cost = your hourly cost × (drive + job). Add overhead, then the profit you want. The range reflects whether you bill profit on the drive too: the low end charges profit on job time only; the high end charges it on the full billable time. When you can, price toward the high end — windshield time is still time you can't sell to anyone else.
